The story..
It's been a long time coming… This story started about 25 years ago. As a young boy growing up, I was always around food, always interested in flavors, learning more, and being creative. Food was a subject I could do both. I figured out from an early age that food brought people together, food was about community. My mom and dad both worked in restaurants while raising me. So the restaurant industry wasn't far away. I started working in kitchens when I was 16. Not only working in them but soaking it all in and learning everything I could from the people around me. My mom got me interested in cooking, my dad got me interested in being creative in cooking and expressing myself through food. Old Bull Kitchen is a dream come true. Even as I write this bio it doesn't feel real. This restaurant is a family passion and operated by me (Skye) my mom (Wendy) , my dad (Terry) and my partner (Chelsea). This has been a dream in the making for many years. When you eat with us, you are eating with family. Throughout my career I have worked in French, Italian, Southern, and Japanese cuisines to name a few. This restaurant will reflect those flavors in a humble, inviting, and approachable way. More importantly as a chef I feel an obligation to teach guests about where our food comes from, how it is sourced and grown. I believe as a chef it is my duty to support healthy, sustainable, and humane agriculture. We look forward to welcoming you into our home. This dream includes every guest that comes and eats with us. Every guest that shares a story of yesterday or a plan for tomorrow. Our Menu will change with the seasons and with our moods. We will try to be consistent with our hours but we always put family, our health, and longevity over everything. So, when you dine with us you know we are all in. Hope to see you soon. Cheers!
